SURFCiTY College encourages in-class studies but recognises that often, despite people’s desire to undertake Christian Ministry and Theology training, circumstances prevent them from being able to attend classes. In recognition of this we have established SURFCiTY College External. (Due to Australian Government regulations, the SURFCiTY College External course is not open to International Students).

This course allows students to undertake the following courses externally:

Certificate IV in Christian Ministry & Theology                   12 Theology subjects. 3 Elective subjects.

Diploma of Christian Ministry & Theology                           12 Theology subjects. 4 Elective subjects.

Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry & Theology          12 Theology subjects. 4 Elective subjects.

SURFCiTY External College only offers fulltime study. In most cases, external students undertake the same subjects as in-class students and complete the same assessments.

Within one week of the student’s application being processed and payment being received, the student will be given an access code to an online external student hub where they can select from a list of subjects they desire to study. Here the student can download the lecture material and assessments.

Once a subject is complete the student simply returns to assessment to the college either by email or post – depending on the type of assessment (essays can be emailed, workbooks need to be printed and mailed back to the college).

There is no order in which subjects need to be undertaken; students can select the subjects of interest to them.
